Keep On
Inspired by Dr. Spencer Johnson's acclaimed book Who Moved My Cheese?, "Keep On" tells the story of confronting both intrinsic and extrinsic uncertainty, embracing those challenges, and continuing to chase success. Originally performed by Time Check, Marist University's low-voice a cappella group, I initially thought the song wouldn't work with instruments. Two years later, during a song reinvention class at Berklee College of Music, I was inspired to revisit "Keep On" and reinvent it in an '80s rock-esque style. Incorporating Time Check's prerecorded stems alongside a newly recorded solo track, rhythm section, and synths, the reinvented version of "Keep On" embodies both my personal journey into becoming a professional musician and the resilience of those I've collaborated with along the way.
